Meet the Trauma Specialist

Hi, my name is Allisia Green and I am the trauma specialist here in CAPS. I provide dedicated support to students who are navigating the complex and often challenging process of healing from trauma. My role is rooted in creating a safe, confidential, and affirming space for students to explore their experiences and build tools for resilience, empowerment, and recovery.

I offer bi-weekly one on one therapy to students who wish to process past or recent traumatic experiences. Therapy sessions are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and collaborative, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.

In addition to individual therapy, I facilitate skills-based groups designed to supplement one-on-one support. These groups provide practical tools for managing symptoms related to trauma, such as anxiety, dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties. Topics may include grounding techniques, boundary-setting, emotion regulation, and mindfulness, among others.

My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a deep respect for each student’s unique story, strengths, and pace of healing. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific traumatic event, ongoing experiences, or the lingering impact of past trauma, you are not alone—I am here to help!
